2D and 3D refer to the actual dimensions in a computer workspace. 2D is flat only using the horizontal and vertical dimensions, the image has only two dimensions and if turned to the side becomes a line. 3D adds the depth dimension. This third dimension allows for rotation and visualise from multiple perspectives. It is essentially the difference between a photo and a sculpture.

Flappy Birds

Flappy Birds is a simplistic 2D game played on mobile and the internet. It is a side-scrolling mobile game. Flappy Birds was created by a independent developer named Nguyễn Hà Đông. The developer designed the game within several days as he per created the sprite that is the bird. The aim of the game is to get the bird through the pipes without touching them as he will die. After starting the game if you leave the bird and don't do anything the bird will simultaneously fall to the ground. To stop this from happening you have tap the screen in order to make him fly upwards. A mixture of letting him fall and tapping the screen to make him fly up can make him fly through the pipes. Flappy Birds uses simple graphic designs and later got penalized for using similar pipes to ones used in Mario. This later resulted in Flappy getting taken down from Apple's App store and Google Play. At its peak Flappy Birds was earning the developer $50,000 per day through app-advertisements.

Shopping Cart Hero

Shopping Cart Hero is a 2D game played on both mobile and the internet. It is a side-scrolling mobile game. The idea of the game is a stickman is in a shopping and he goes down the hill and jumps at the end trying to get as far as possible, you have to land the fall as well. To start off you need to swipe the screen in order to push the shopping cart down the hill. At the mid-way point you have to tap the screen enabling a power bar. At the end of the hill approaching the jump you have to tap the screen again enabling another power bar. This will then launch him off the jump and you have to get as far as possible to achieve the objective of the game. To land you have to tilt your phone so that the shopping cart is parallel to the ground enabling the shopping cart to land. The further you get the more credits you get for getting upgrades allowing you to go further in the jumps. The developers went on to make Shopping Cart Hero 2 and 3.

Fifa 15

Fifa 15 is a 3D sports game played on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. The aim of the game is a realistic football game that you can play multiple game modes on. For example you can play Ultimate Team where you build your ultimate squad and play against others other online to show whose team is better. Then you can do a Career Mode, this is where you can simulate season with team of your choice, making transfers and playing games trying to make your team the best in the world. The controls are simplistic so that anybody can play them. The Pegi rating for Fifa 15 is 3+. EA Sports have published the game. They have also made all the stadiums in the Barclays Premier League and most of the Premier League players faces as well. They have also produced Fifa series for a very long. 

Forza Horizon 2

Forza Horizon 2 is a 3D racing game played on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game is an Open World racing game. The game has great graphics with jaw dropping mountains and superb winding roads to enjoy racing through the country roads of France and Italy. The game has a campaign in which you can do races to earn money, get better cars and race some more. You can also race online against others and compete in races showing who the best is. You can also do mini games such, King and Infected. Furthermore you can go to Online car meets where you can see other people’s cars and buy them if you wanted it that bad. Playground games also produced Forza Horizon the original.
